Mission Statement
Why are the members
of the Shadow Galactica attacking Earth? The answer is very simple. They were
after Sailor Crystals or True Star Seeds depending on the manga or anime. The
main members of the Shadow Galactica all swore an oath to Galaxia, they were
allowed to live as long as they served her. Some joined for power such as the
Sailor Animamates -- in the manga they were promised their own planet and to
be reborn as true Sailor Soldiers.
Others joined simply because they agreed with what she was doing. Some thought that she just maybe right. Sailor Moon was the cause of all the suffering because her light always drew out the darkness. As long as she was around the wars would go on, they would continue, and there would always be pain and war.
Still yet others had no choice, their bodies were resurrected using the power of the Galaxy Cauldron (manga) and while they probably had the same personality and memories as before, they were under Galaxia's control and thus evil. They served her because that is what she watned them to do. They had no choice nor did they know of any other way.
So in the end they all served her in different ways. In the anime some went to Earth under the disguise of a TV Studio worker to seek out True Star Seeds no matter who the original owner was. In the manga they just went to Earth looking for Sailor Soldiers to steal their Star Seeds. Others had various jobs that they fullfilled.
Once Galaxia recieved all the Star Seeds or Sailor Crystals she would have the ultimate power. In the manga she would beable to take control of the Galaxy Cauldron and use it to recreate the galaxy as she saw fit. She would have absolute control over life and death itself. She would be the one who decides who lives and who dies, who gets what, and what plants there are. She would be like a god.
No matter their choices or why they did what they did, they all had their reasons for joining up with the most evil empire in the galaxy.
