Chaos Misconceptions and Rumors
The black suited version of Galaxia is known as Sailor Chaos
Sailor Chaos is never once mentioned in the anime. One of the special trading cards that came with the last volume of the Sailor Stars Laser Disks actually refers to her as Chaos Galaxia [
- kaosu
- gyarakushia]. However it should also be noted that in some of the Sailor Moon Musicals, the black suited version of Galaxia is refered to as Sailor Chaos.
Sailor Chaos was the one who caused the termoil on the planet Nemesis
Now in the manga in volume 18, chapter 52 of the original release Chaos does state:
"Seeking the power of light, roaming the galaxy. The incarnations of evil darkness. The kin you have wiped out. They were all alter selves of me. They all departed from here, crossing time and space. You are siblings." (Translation by Alex Glover)
However, Sailor Chaos doesn't come about until the far future where Sailor Cosmos comes from. Cosmos mentions that Sailor Chaos appeared and started to destroy everything. Since Chaos was in the Galaxy Cauldron before that time, it wouldn't be until far in the future where she becomes Sailor Chaos. Sailor Chaos is never mentioned in the anime, so has no real basis for what happens in that instance.
Guardian Cosmos is Chaos
Guardian Cosmos is protecter of the Cosmos Seed, she is not Chaos. This idea springs up from people reading translations of the manga, but only pieces.
Specificially this part where Usagi says:
“Guardian Cosmos! Is Chaos...!”
But she was calling out to Guardian Cosmos to ask her about Chaos, we know this because Guardian Cosmos answers her question right afterwords:
“The core of Chaos, the Chaos seed, and Guardian Chaos, are melted into the Cauldron. Now they have become too small to be found. They might be born again. Because this is the place where stars, and possibilities, are born...”
